BRENDAN GLEASON

Leatherbacks Director, Brendan Gleason, is excited to be back with the Leatherbacks program! As the Middle School Athletic Director at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton and Defensive Assistant Coach, he has helped lead the Scots to back-to-back state champion lacrosse teams ('21 & '22.) Before Saint Andrew's, he coached NCAA II lacrosse as an Assistant Coach at both Lynn University and The College of Saint Rose in Albany. Coach Gleason was a long stick midfielder and close defenseman at UAlbany where he was named to the America East All-Conference team while helping to lead the Great Danes to a pair of America East final appearances and the 2007 Conference Championship when they advanced to the National quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.

Mike Sanderson

Mike Sanderson


Coach Sanderson has been coaching with Sweetlax and the Leatherbacks for a number of years. A Division III Midfielder at SUNY Brockport, Coach Sanderson participated in lacrosse at Canton Central HS. Upon a superlative SUNY Brockport career, Mike went on to Assistant Coach at SUNY Brockport. Coach Sanderson's prodigious coaching accomplishments expanded beyond lacrosse. While being Defensive Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Michigan State, he led them to a 29-7 record, two Conference Championships, and two National Quarter Final Appearances. Following his time at MS, Coach Sanderson then became a Coach and Recruit Coordinator at Purdue University leading the team to two Conference Championships and two National Tournament selections. Mike became an Assistant Coach at Clarkson University in lacrosse and also became an Assistant Coach and Recruit Coordinator at Mount Ida.

Nick Ferraro


Nick Ferraro is a former Sweetlax Alumni, and current Leatherbacks coach that is looking forward to another year with the team. Coach Ferraro grew up in a small town outside of Philadelphia in South Jersey. Coach Ferraro then moved to South Florida to attend Saint Andrew’s School where he was a student athlete and played lacrosse under Tony Seaman. After high school, Coach Ferraro then went on to continue his lacrosse career at University of Hartford for two years and decided to transfer to finish his career at Loyola University Maryland. Where he was an America East Academic Honor Roll and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Coach Ferraro also enjoyed helping out with Harlem Lacrosse and growing the game.

Brian Stamm


This is Brian Stamm’s first year with the Leatherbacks program. He is currently a volunteer assistant coach at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton. Before Saint Andrew’s, he was a volunteer assistant coach with Naples High School. Prior to coaching, he was a long stick midfielder and close defensemen at High Point University where he was part of back-to-back regular season Southern Conference Championships (‘18 &’19) and named to the Southern Conference All-Academic team.
